Cork Vegfest 2017

Saturday the 13th of May was one of the grooviest days ever. It was the day Vegfest happened in Cork for the 1st time and it was truly spectacular. Vegfest is a 100% vegan event where everything vegan is celebrated and embraced, it's a pretty groovy event!

It was held in the City Hall and as soon as I walked in, an amazing smell of cakes and curries, soups and sandwiches, pestos and pastas hit my nose! There was a good selection of different stalls, from stalls selling food to stalls giving out free info about veganism, there was a stall for everyone!

During the day there were musicians and speakers too. I listened to the very inspirational Fiona Oakes and Patrik Baboumian who talked about how being vegan helped them to thrive as athletes and as human beings. I left their talks feeling incredibly inspired and motivated by their powerful words.

One of my favourite stalls was Miam Bakery's stall! They make vegan cupcakes, brownies, donuts, and everything in between!

Miam's business card is amazing!

It was so hard to decide what to get from their stall as everything looked divine! In the end I went for an Oreo cupcake that was rockin'. 11 out of 10!

Check out their Facebook page for more info about them! They make the vegan donuts for Oh My Donut too so pop into OMD when you need your vegan donut fix!!! They do custom cakes too for weddings, birthdays etc so if you have an event coming up make sure to give them a shout!

Because Vegfest is a 100% vegan event I didn't have to worry about asking for soy milk or almond milk etc so it was such a good feeling to be completely relaxed around food and not have to worry about any non-vegan food!

A group that were there who I love were the Cork Vegans and Veggies. Check out their Meetup page here! Extremely kind people, lovely to chat to, and they helped me find some vegan friends!!! Can't wait to get to know the group more, they all seem amazing and so so nice!

They were giving out amazing info about vegan places to eat in Cork and loads of info about plant-based nutrition etc! I got a cool Happy Cow sticker from them too! I stuck it proudly on my laptop!

Another amazing stall was Bia Beauty. They make loads of vegan skincare and body products like hand creams, lip balms, face cleansers, and gorgeous gift sets! I love their fresh approach to natural cosmetic products, it's so inspiring. 'Bia' means food in Irish and Bia Beauty's focus is on feeding your skin! Check out their websiteFacebook, and Instagram and prepare to be amazed by all of their beautiful products!

My Goodness were there too! I love everything they do. My Goodness is an ethical, health focused business that specialises in vegan, raw, sugar free, gluten free and fermented probiotic products. Make sure to check out their websiteFacebookTwitter, and Instagram to learn more about such an amazing company! You can check them out at the following farmer's markets in Cork:

My Goodness had such an amazing stall filled with loads of beautiful raw cakes, sprouts, jars of amazing fermented food. It all looked divine!

The kombucha from My Goodness was beyond divine omg
I got the raw wrap from My Goodness which had loads of amazing stuff in it like pesto and sprouts and veggies, it was amazing!

I met up with the most amazing people at Vegfest, shoutout to Lauren and Eoin! It's so cool to see connections on Instagram happen in real life. Love you guysss!
